Our Story

Your Happy Place Gourmet Treats & Custom Drinks was born out of family, faith, and a whole lot of cookies.

In 2001, our daughter Breck entered the world facing serious health challenges that kept her in the hospital for many months. During that time, Tyra (mom) found joy in baking cookies with her other children and bringing them to the doctors and nurses who cared for Breck. Her chocolate chip cookies soon grew into a collection of creative flavors—Pecan Pie, Chocolate Covered Cherry, Key Lime, Hawaiian, and more—that quickly became a hospital favorite.

Encouraged by friends, family, and even Breck’s medical team, Tyra began selling her cookies. What started in the family kitchen grew into Breck’s Gourmet Cookies, a beloved shop in downtown Kissimmee that opened in 2005. For several years, it was a place where locals and visitors alike could enjoy homemade treats and a warm welcome.

Although the family eventually sold the shop to focus on raising their six kids, the memories stuck—especially with Landon, who spent his childhood helping behind the counter. Years later, armed with a business degree (and a craving for the “dirty sodas” he grew to love out west), Landon convinced Tyra to bring the cookie shop back—this time with a new twist.

In January 2024, the dream was reborn as Your Happy Place in Kissimmee. More than just cookies, our menu now includes custom sodas and gourmet treats, all designed to spark joy and bring people together.

At the heart of it all is the same belief that started it years ago: that something as simple as a sweet treat can make a tough day brighter and a happy day even sweeter.
